Jenna Goldberg is a Providence, RI based artist working primarily making furniture and Jewelry Boxes. Raised in a family of artists, she started creating at a young age. She grew up in the suburbs of NYC but spent her last two years of high school living, traveling and studying in Israel. Her travels throughout the Middle East were a big influence on her and helped form her love of pattern, antiquities and travel itself.
Jenna received her BFA in Illustration from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 1990 and got her MFA in Furniture Design from Rhode Island School of Design in 1994.
Her work has been shown in numerous solo, group and museum shows around the country. It can be found in the Fidelity Corporate Collection as well as the permanent collection of the Mint Museum of Art and Design in Charlotte, NC and the Renwick Gallery in Washington DC.
Jenna teaches part time at Rhode Island School of Design in the Industrial Design department. She has participated in several artist residencies including two years at Anderson Ranch Arts Center and also a Windgate funded residency at San Diego State University. She has been the recipient of the North Carolina Arts council award and also the Rhode Island Council on the Arts award for Crafts in 2005 and 2012.
Other hobbies include swing dancing, screen printing and making shoes.
